What will happen next on Homeland? SheKnows caught up with Sarita Choudhury at the SAG Awards to ask if she would share some secrets.
The SAG awards celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, and it was filled with surprises!
What makes the SAG Awards stand out from the rest is the fact that it gives awards to performers and ensemble casts rather than recognizing the works they create. Homeland is no stranger to winning awards, and the cast of this critically acclaimed TV series was once again nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. It also received a couple of other nominations for Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Television Series and Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series (Clare Danes).

SheKnows was fortunate enough to catch up with Sarita Choudhury, who stars as Mira Berenson on Homeland. And we desperately wanted to know if the 47-year-old actress could reveal any secrets about the show’s future.
However, Choudhury was not going to give away any spoilers and said, “A lot is going to happen, but I can’t say anything.”
The English beauty may have chosen to remain tight-lipped about Homeland‘s secrets, but we are such big fans of the Showtime political thriller that we had to at least know what she would like to have happen with Mira and her chronically overworked husband, Saul Berenson — who is played by Mandy Patinkin.
“I would hope to see a full reunion, where it’s real. But then something [should happen] to cause more tension, because that’s where the fun lies,” Choudhury admits.

Of course, working on such a critically acclaimed series and being in the midst of acting greats is a wonderful career achievement. So what is the greatest thing about being a part of the Homeland team?
Choudhury revealed, “I think the writing is so superb, and [so is] working with Mandy [Patinkin]. I am lucky because I mostly work with him, so I feel like I am in a good game.”
