Lovebirds across the globe are thinking of new and romantic ways to spend Valentine’s Day, but the holiday of love is going to be far less appealing for Justin Bieber.
The “Beauty and a Beat” hit maker does not have a date with a hot model, and he won’t be exchanging steamy sexts with Selena Gomez or egging any houses. No, Biebs has a date with the court on Feb. 14.
According to the Miami state attorney’s office, the pop singer will be appearing in front of a South Florida judge on charges of resisting arrest without violence, driving with an expired license and driving under the influence.
The 19-year-old superstar was arrested last week in Miami Beach, Florida, after police suspected an illegal drag race taking place between Bieber in his rented yellow Lamborghini and his friend R&B singer Khalil Amir Sharieff in his red Ferrari early on Thursday morning.
After skipping jail on a $2,500 bail charge, the Canadian heartthrob went on to enjoy a holiday in Panama but will soon have his case presided over Judge William Altfield of the Miami-Dade County Criminal Division.
However, according to Biebs’ lawyer Roy Black, the singer may not even have to be there when prosecutors present the case against him. The defendants will plead not guilty at the arraignment and then the real process will begin.
So if he’s not in court, what will Bieber be planning for this Valentine’s Day? We here at SheKnows don’t think it involves a romantic date with ex-girlfriend Gomez. Perhaps he’s going to take another trip to a strip club to blow another $75,000?
