Hello, again, Dolly.

The lovely and legendary Dolly Parton is returning to the music scene with a brand new album and a brilliant new title track. She dove deep into her gospel roots for this fun little breakup song and we’re, well… we’re totally in love.

Who knew breaking up could be so much fun? Parton, apparently. The Grammy-winning country artist’s new single, “Blue Smoke,” is centered entirely on the best kind of breakup: the freeing variety.

More a “ditty” than a song, single or track, “Blue Smoke” is exactly the kind of song you’d expect from the 68-year-old songstress. Parton’s repetitive utilization of “rollin'” and the various onomatopoeia used to illustrate her train ride to freedom could seem trite, but they’re not. There’s a sweetness to the track that’s reminiscent of every song our grandmas ever sang to us while bouncing us on their knees. That may have something to do with our overall love for this gem of a first single, though our abiding adoration of Parton may be the leading reason.
