Lori Loughlin and John Stamos could have made the perfect couple, if their on-screen chemistry in Full House as Aunt Becky and Uncle Jesse was anything to go by.
And seems the hit ’90s TV series fans were not the only ones wondering why the on-screen couple’s romance never trickled offscreen. Loughlin and Stamos may have thought about it once or twice too.
In an interview with Yahoo’s Daily Shot on Tuesday, the 49-year-old actress explained to host Ali Wentworth why she and Stamos never got together.

“I was married at the time I was doing the show to my first husband. Literally when I was getting divorced, he met Rebecca [Romijn].”
So the 90210 actress had just gotten divorced from her first husband Michael Burns when Stamos got married to his former wife Romijn. But Loughlin is not the only one to gush about her former co-star — Stamos also revealed in an interview with HuffPost Live last year that they did have a spark.
“We did have some off timing, but no disrespect to her family and her husband now, I would say that she could be the one that got away,” Stamos confessed.
Unfortunately for fans who would love to see a Loughlin-Stamos relationship, that will not be happening anytime soon, because the actress has been happily married for nearly 17 years to her second husband Mossimo Giannulli.

However, the pair remain wonderful friends, with the 50-year-old actor adding that they are “dearest friends, and that’s good enough. But I really do adore her.”
So what does Loughlin have to say about being Stamos’ one that got away?
“That was very nice of him to say that,” Loughlin gushed to Wentworth.
