Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have been making marriage look easy for more than 10 years, but it looks like they are going their separate ways.
After 10 years of marriage, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have announced they are separating.
The couple seemed an unlikely pair when they began dating, but they have made it work for a decade and have two children together. Paltrow and the Coldplay frontman made the announcement of the separation on Paltrow’s website, goop.com.

“It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate,” she said, according to E! News. “We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate.”
The post, titled “Conscious Uncoupling,” said they will work hard to raise their children together.
“We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been. We are parents first and foremost, to two incredibly wonderful children and we ask for their and our space and privacy to be respected at this difficult time. We have always conducted our relationship privately, and we hope that as we consciously uncouple and coparent, we will be able to continue in the same manner.”

Paltrow has always advised toward revealing yourself regularly, and so sharing their separation on her website is not a surprising move from the actress.
“My personal philosophy in life is that the more you shove under the rug, the more damage you do to yourself,” she recently told Entertainment Tonight. “I think that the more that you are willing to reveal to yourself what your damage is, what your pain is, what your truth is, the more you’re able to really flourish as a human being.”
Paltrow and Martin have two children together, Apple and Moses.
