No more death threats — Demi Lovato tells fans to “chill out

Kathy Griffin does not think much of Demi Lovato. In fact, she thinks she’s the “biggest douche celebrity,” and this remark has sparked a bitter Twitter feud between the comedian and Lovato’s fans.

Comedian Kathy Griffin recently took part in a Twitter Q-&-A session with her fans, and when she was asked which celebrity she disliked the most she was quick to reveal there’s no love lost between her and Demi Lovato.

Griffin replied to the question by calling Lovato the “biggest douche celebrity” she’s ever met.

And she was also unimpressed with the “Skyscraper” hit maker’s recent attack on Lady Gaga. Lovato slammed Gaga’s SXSW concert performance in which Gaga was puked on by a “vomit painter,” claiming the singer was glamorizing eating disorders. Griffin added, “plus she should calm the f down bout Lady Gaga gettin barfed on (sic).”

According to Us Weekly, when Lovato learned of Griffin’s remarks, she took to Twitter to respond on Tuesday.

Lovato posted a selfie of her sticking out her tongue and pointing at an image of Griffin in a reprimanding way. The former The X Factor judge captioned the tweet — which has since been deleted — “Only a ‘douche’ to people I can’t stand.”

However, the Twitter feud did not end there. Lovato’s legion of loyal fans was quick to come to her defense with some of them taking it way too far and even sending Griffin death threats. One fan tweeted, “#KATHY please, slit your f***ing throat.” And sadly, that was one of the more pleasant responses.

We’re pretty sure if the funny woman could have predicted the backlash she would receive from the Lovatics, then she may have decided to pick another celebrity to dislike, or she would have, at the very least, been a little less harsh with her answer.

However, Lovato takes a strong stance against bullying, so she was quick to reprimand her fans for their hate-fueled messages.

I love you guys so much but y’all gotta chill with sending hate towards other people,” she said on Tuesday. “Regardless of what they say or do.. The cruel things some of you are saying can really, REALLY hurt people. It’s called cyber-bullying and somethings should NEVER be wished upon EVER. No matter WHAT.It makes me so sad to see how mean people can really be after all I’ve spoken out about anti-bullying.”

She added, “Be an example for other haters. I know my #Lovatics are better than that. I really appreciate you guys always having my back but this is going way too far.”

Way to go, Demi Lovato!
