The 2014 Academy of Country Music Awards show kicked off on Sunday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, and it was a night that did not disappoint!

The prestigious event started off with an incredible performance by The Band Perry, who sang their hit song “Chainsaw.”

The night was hosted by Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton, who gave the crowd plenty of laughs and moments to remember, including attempting to re-create the famous Oscar selfie and wearing motorcycle helmets.

In fact, Shelton even found time to mock Britney Spears, saying, “If you don’t like live music, you can go see Britney Spears down the street.”

We wonder what newly married Jamie-Lynn Spears thought about the dis on her big sis.

The night was not all just fun and games, though. There were spectacular performances by several country music stars, including co-host Shelton’s performance with his The Voice co-coach Shakira. The duo performed their single “Medicine” for the first time.

Other noteworthy performances include Lady Antebellum and guest star Stevie Nicks performing “Rhiannon” as well as performances by husband-and-wife duo Faith Hill and Tim McGraw, who sang the hit “Meanwhile Back at Mama’s.”

Dierks Bentley and Sheryl Crow also hit the stage to perform their duet “I Hold On.”

And some of the big winners of the night included Miranda Lambert, who was nominated for a whopping seven awards, and whilst she didn’t take home all seven, she did win big! The 30-year-old singer took home the awards for Single Record of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year. She also wowed the crowd with her killer performance of “Automatic.”

Tim McGraw took home Video of the Year for “Highway Don’t Care” with Taylor Swift and Keith Urban. And George Strait also stole the show with Entertainer of the Year, and there could not be a more deserving winner than the country music veteran.
