A pregnant Snooki is hoping for another boy — but why?

Jersey Shore alum Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is pregnant with her second child, and the star is really hoping to add another boy to her brood. But why?

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and her fiancé Jionni LaValle are expecting their second child together. And although the star is adamant she will be happy with whatever gender her new born baby is, what she’s really hoping for is another baby boy.

The loved-up pair already share one son together, 19-month-old Lorenzo, and they’re excited to give him a little playmate.

“If it’s a boy or it’s a girl, as long as the baby’s healthy we’re gonna be very, very happy, but me and Jionni would like to have two boys, you know, another boy,” the Jersey Shore alum told Extra.

Of course, we’re not saying parents aren’t allowed to have a preference when it comes to their children’s genders, but why does the reality TV star not want a little girl?

“Everybody in our family has a boy and then a girl, or a girl and a boy, so we kind of want two boys to switch it up and make it different,” she confessed. “Plus, I’m not ready to have a miniature me. I don’t need a diva telling me what to do. I’m not ready for that.”

The 26-year-old star revealed to Us Weekly that she’s thrilled to be pregnant once more and that she and LaValle have always wanted to have their children close in age.

“Jionni and I were trying to have our second baby since November, so every month we kept taking tests,” she said.

And as for pregnancy cravings? Apparently, the petite beauty has been craving salt and vinegar chips and strawberries lately, but she’ll continue to stay healthy throughout her pregnancy.
