Performers have been announced for the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, and they include Luke Bryan, Imagine Dragons, John Legend and OneRepublic.
The 2014 Billboard Music Awards are just around the corner, and several performers who are set to appear this year have now been announced.
Artists include Luke Bryan, Miley Cyrus, Ricky Martin, Lorde, Imagine Dragons, John Legend and OneRepublic. These performers will join previously named Jason Derulo, in addition to the recently announced nominees.

Several performers are actually nominees this year as well, including Luke Bryan, who is up for six categories. Bryan has two of his songs nominated for Best Country Song, and he’s also up for Top Country Artist, Top Billboard 200 album and Top Country Album. Imagine Dragons are also big finalists with 12 nominations, tying with Lorde for the highest number of nods.
While John Legend is only nominated for the Milestone Award this year, he is enjoying huge success with his highly acclaimed and sold-out tour. His current hit “All of Me” is at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has been his highest-selling single to date.
Meanwhile, OneRepublic is nominated for Top Duo/Group and Top Digital Song for their hit “Counting Stars.”

Derulo hasn’t been nominated, but he announced on Thursday his participation as a performer at this year’s Billboard Music Awards on Good Morning America. The “Talk Dirty” singer also revealed who the nominated artists were for five of the 40 categories in the awards. The rest of the nominees were revealed later that same day.
UPDATE: It was just announced on May 8 that Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood will be performing live together to make the television debut of their new duet, “Somethin’ Bad.” The pair will join already-announced performers including 5 Seconds of Summer, Florida Georgia Line, Imagine Dragons, Jason Derulo, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend, Luke Bryan, Miley Cyrus, OneRepublic, Pitbull and Ricky Martin.
“Somethin’ Bad” appears on Lambert’s upcoming new album Platinum, which will be available on June 3.
UPDATE: May 13. More performers announced! Katy Perry, who is a finalist in 10 Billboard categories this year, will perform her new single “Birthday” for the first time on television. Plus, Ariana Grande will be performing her hit single “Problem” with Iggy Azalea, who will also be singing his own smash hit “Fancy.”
UPDATE: May 14. Shakira has joined the long list of Billboard Music Awards performers.
UPDATE: May 15. Robin Thicke has also been added to the list of performers. The singer is rumored to be performing a song in yet another effort to win his estranged wife, Paula Patton, back after rumors that he was unfaithful. Thicke is nominated for seven categories this year after his hit song “Blurred Lines” spent 12 weeks at the Billboard Hot 100 chart’s number 1 spot.
The 2014 Billboard Music Awards will air live on Sunday, May 18 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
