Just one day after sharing the news of their son’s birth with the world, the Dancing with the Stars alum posted this sweet photo to Instagram along with the message, “The start of a new, lifelong relationship.”

Beckett Thomas Strickland, whose tiny face can just barely be seen peeking out from his swaddling blanket and hat while perched on his big sister’s lap, was born on April 20.
Speaking of her 3-year-old daughter, Rycroft told E! News, “Ava can’t wait for us to bring him home to be able to show us all of the big sister duties she’s been practicing.”

However, earlier in her second pregnancy, the 31-year-old, who rose to fame on ABC’s The Bachelor, didn’t sound quite so sure of how to get Ava ready for her big sister role.
“She knows there’s a baby in my tummy and she has a doll to take care of,” Rycroft explained. “But I don’t think there’s any way you can prepare. She’s not going to get our attention all the time and she’ll have to share her toys, as un-fun as that sounds. Her whole life is going to change. It’s not just going to be her anymore — but on the other hand, there’s going to be just that much more love in our family to go around!”
Judging by that sweet photo, her prediction on that abundance of love was correct.
