Jay Z and Beyoncé will reportedly not be attending Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s wedding because it’ll be such a public affair.

More and more details surrounding Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s much-talked-about wedding are surfacing. Just a day after James Franco accidentally let the ceremony’s location out of the bag, another tidbit surrounding the Kimye wedding has been revealed.

Despite his professional and personal relations to Yeezy, Jay Z and wife Beyoncé will reportedly not be in attendance at the France affair. On Monday, April 22, The Sun reported that the power couple will not be at the event because they don’t want to appear on Keeping Up With The Kardashians‘ cameras.

But Jigga has plans to make it up to his friend and frequent collaborator. Jay Z is said to be spending major money on a rented honeymoon yacht for West and Kardashian. Additionally, the hip-hop heavyweight will reportedly take the celebratory festivity to his 40/40 Club in New York City. “Instead he’s making it up to his mate by throwing him the most extravagant stag ‘do known to man,” the source told the publication.

Based on various reports, Kimye’s Memorial weekend wedding is set to take place at the Château Louis XIV on May 24. Early last month, the Kardashian sister spoke to Ryan Seacrest about wedding preparations and explained that the couple wants a more low-key ceremony, saying, “As we are going along, we realize we want it to be smaller and more intimate than people are imagining and thinking.”

As for how the couple has divvied up the ceremony responsibilities, Kardashian said, “There’s certain things I’m like, ‘I know you’re going to hate the seating chart, so I’ll take care of this.’ And then there’s some things that are really important to him, but the seating chart is like death.”
