Selena Gomez has been getting rid of friends left and right, but does it mean something bigger for the actress?
While it may seem silly to judge someone’s behavior on what they do on social media, for Selena Gomez, it may be a sign of a bigger problem. Just a day after unfollowing friends like Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift and Kylie and Kendall Jenner on Instagram, it looks like Gomez has unfollowed everyone.

She only followed a little more than a dozen people to start with, but the fact she unfollowed friends like Ashley Benson and Vanessa Hudgens seems out of character for the singer. The change may mean a few things for Gomez, including the fact she is ready to grow up. Just last week, she fired her parents as her managers, left CAA for WME and signed with Brillstein Entertainment Partners, which apparently is a “crucial piece of the Disney alum’s strategy, long in the works, to move on to more adult-oriented fare in film and music,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.
But could Gomez’s recent actions have to do with her spending more time with her ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber? When Gomez and the Biebs were dating the first time, they both talked about how much they hated the attention they got for being together. It’s possible Gomez is getting ready for another relationship with him, and has learned her lesson to not give away any personal information about herself, even through social media. Bieber even seems to be straightening himself out, too, tweeting this week that he has learned so much in the last year and he is excited for what’s next.

Both singers have dealt with some issues in the last year — Gomez with rehab and a possible lupus diagnosis, and Bieber with an arrest and a drug raid. But maybe being back together is getting them each to clean themselves up.
