According to a report by Radar Online, the Kimye issue of Vogue is predicted to sell almost 500,000 copies, setting an all-time record for the fashion publication. These kinds of sales surpass issues with some of the biggest stars on the cover, including Beyoncé (355,000) and Michelle Obama (293,000).
If that wasn’t enough to silence the naysayers, then maybe they’ll sing a different tune after reading Vogue creative director Grace Coddington’s recent interview. Speaking with the Financial Times, Coddington denied accusations that West forced Vogue editor, Anna Wintour, to feature his future wife.

“There was a wedding story to be done, and Anna probably had them in mind, because she had been seeing a lot of Kanye, so she said, ‘Maybe we should shoot it on lookalikes.’ And I thought, ‘Why not just do it on the real thing? This is Vogue,'” she revealed.
But they weren’t chosen for the cover just because there’s a wedding coming up; Coddington says that she is genuinely fascinated with the Kardashian sister the same way she is fascinated by people she sees in the street and on the subway. “I do think Kim Kardashian represents this moment in our culture,” she added.
Coddington even shared candid thoughts on the magazine shooting, revealing that baby North West was on the set, remained very well-behaved and did not cry once.
Vogue‘s record-breaking tally is just the latest headline in the world of Kim and Kanye. On Tuesday, April 29, TMZ reported that the duo obtained a “confidential” marriage license and will have a court official marry the couple at home. And yet, the reports of another Kimye wedding celebration at a lavish French chateau are still making the rounds.
