“I was on medicine for five days, everything was all good,” the “Wrecking Ball” singer said of taking flu medication she was prescribed by a doctor. “And on the sixth day, I just woke up and it was scary. When you’re allergic to something, you’re basically poisoning yourself, so I had just basically been poisoning myself with something I didn’t know I was really scary allergic to. It was so scary,” she added.

Cyrus had spent one night in the hospital and was released to continue her Bangerz tour, but woke up very ill the next morning and was admitted again and ended up staying for over a week. “It was insane. I was begging doctors to let me out to go do the show,” she said. “It was basically, ‘No way.'”

Although the singer was in pain while in the hospital, she divulged that the worst part of the stay was battling boredom. She was so restless, in fact, she spent a lot of time crying.

So what does one do when they’re bored to tears? Online shopping, of course. “I ended up doing way too much online shopping,” Cyrus said. “Whatever they had me on to make me not in pain, I made some questionable choices on what I bought. I don’t know what this hot pink mini-skirt is that I bought in the hospital.”

Cyrus did manage to find a silver lining in the whole experience: She told Seacrest she feels like she gets to do a second Bangerz tour and she’s ready to get back to work.
