She’s been getting a lot of bad press lately, but Gwyneth Paltrow is giving back with a charity yard sale. The items are very expensive.
Do you want to buy Gwyneth Paltrow‘s used clothing? If that interests you, head over to the actress’ “super-classy yard sale” happening right now on her GOOP website.
The proceeds of the sale go to charity, and the 41-year-old star has enlisted the help of some famous friends to pitch in. Items donated by Nicole Richie, Beyoncé, Kate Hudson and Miranda Kerr are all available.
Joan Rivers has some very harsh words for Gwyneth Paltrow >>
Paltrow wrote on her site, “Last year, we did a big story on closet organization, and in the process, sold a handful of pieces on behalf of three charities. It was such a success that we decided to do it again, and enlisted some friends-of-Goop, who have particularly outstanding personal style, to help this year.”
The Iron Man actress also specifies where the proceeds will go after the donated items are bought. She elaborated, “100 percent of the profits benefit DonorsChoose, a charity where public school teachers can ask directly for help fulfilling specific classroom needs.”

She even advertised the sale on her Twitter account with a picture of her trying on a pair of shoes while a few bags were strewn about. She captioned the photo, “Spring cleaning @goop #goopgiving.”

As of Thursday afternoon, many of the items are sold out since it’s a one-day sale. Richie’s silver Christian Louboutin pumps were still available for $300 and Paltrow’s $950 purple quilted Carolina Herrera bag has yet to find an owner. The pièce de résistance seems to be Queen Bey’s custom-made Stuart Weitzman boots from her last tour. The buyer will have to part with $2,500 for the privilege of owning them.
It must be nice to be rich.
