TRAILER: Look! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles close-ups revealed

TMNT delivers a new trailer, and with it, a peek at the film’s lean green fighting machines.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans, brace yourselves. The turtles are here, and the CGI-rendered faces staring back at us don’t look anything like the Jim Henson turtles of our happy memories.

Meet Michelangelo — he’s really into the color orange, likes jewelry and thinks Megan Fox is scared of him because he’s wearing a mask. Oh, Michelangelo, you silly, shelled rapscallion, you.

Next, Michael Bay introduces us to Leonardo in classic superhero style. Cue fog, cue wind, cue Leonardo rising out of the darkness with just enough back light to make you ask yourself, “Wait, is that a… turtle?”

Raphael only gets a moment in the spotlight in this trailer, but he looks like he means business. No doubt we’ll learn more about Raphael — the turtle, the myth, the legend — in the next trailer.

Last, but not least, is Donatello. Donatello is obviously the tech hound of the bunch as he’s decked out in gadgets and goggles, and is wearing what appears to be Johnny 5 from Short Circuit on his back.
