Alec Baldwin was handcuffed and arrested for riding his bike against the flow of traffic in New York City’s Manhattan neighborhood.
Once again facing trouble with the law, Alec Baldwin was arrested in New York City for riding his bicycle the wrong way and not having his identification with him.
The notorious actor was handcuffed and taken into custody after he became belligerent and angry when being stopped by police on his bike, TMZ reported. Baldwin was allegedly riding against traffic on 5th Avenue, which is against the law, and he apparently did not have his ID with him at the time.

Cops decided to take him in due to his unruly behavior and lack of identification and not necessarily just because of the bicycle infraction. “He became belligerent, yelling and screaming at the officers, ‘I don’t have ID. Just give me the f***ing summonses,'” a police source told The Daily News.
Once at the NYPD’s 13th Precinct station, Baldwin continued to yell at the officers and was dumfounded when they seemed to fail to recognize him. “How old are these officers?” The source claims Baldwin said. “They don’t even know who I am!”

Baldwin ended up with a summons for riding a bicycle in the wrong direction and another for disorderly conduct.
While the 30 Rock star is known for his outrageous outbursts, getting arrested for riding a bike against traffic may be extreme. However, New York City laws are very strict when it comes to bicycle riding, and going against traffic is a big no-no. “Motorists and pedestrians are not looking for bicyclists riding against traffic,” the law states. “It is illegal and dangerous. Ride with traffic to avoid accidents.”
Under normal circumstances Baldwin would have probably just been given a citation, but due to his ballistic arguing and failure to show ID, the police decided it was best to take him in.
