Kate Moss, Helena Bonham Carter, Cate Blanchett and Cara Delevingne — among other celebs — joined Prince William to raise funds for cancer research.
Prince William hosted a star-studded night at Windsor Castle to raise money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity — but while there were some big names present, the Duchess of Cambridge was not among them.
The former Kate Middleton stayed home with Prince George, reportedly as part of a new strategy in which the royal couple splits their charitable duties so they can attend more events.

But the lack of Kate didn’t make the night any less glamorous. Wills greeted a dazzling array of stars including Kate Moss, Helena Bonham Carter, Cate Blanchett, Cara Delevingne, Benedict Cumberbatch, Emma Watson, Mario Testino, Ralph Lauren and Downton Abbey‘s Laura Carmichael.
“I am exceptionally proud to be president of the Royal Marsden, an incredible hospital and a world-class cancer center carrying out groundbreaking work [and] influencing the treatment of cancer both nationally and internationally,” Prince William said in a speech to his guests.

“I have experienced this brilliant work firsthand during several visits to the Royal Marsden. Only last year, I visited the Chelsea hospital and saw for myself some of the complex and pioneering surgery that takes place on a daily basis.
“The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity is a crucial part of the lifesaving work of the hospital. It is the charity that helps to provide the best state-of-the-art facilities for modern cancer care. These include the theater suite and Critical Care Unit in Chelsea, the surgical da Vinci robot, the latest radiotherapy machine CyberKnife and the inspiring Oak Centre for Children and Young People.

“It is the support of the charity which enables the Royal Marsden to give patients throughout the United Kingdom the very best cancer care available anywhere in the world.”
Yeah, yeah, yeah — what everyone really wants to know is when will we next see Kate? While there are no absolute confirmed official engagements on her calendar until a trip to Belgium in August, we can probably expect a sighting on June 6 at events marking the 70th anniversary of the Allied landing at Normandy, June 14 for Trooping the Colour and June 16 for the Order of the Garter ceremonies.
