Two and a Half Men canceled: 3 Reasons we’re glad

CBS announces that the next season of Two and a Half Men will be its last and we’ve got three reasons why we couldn’t be happier about the news.

CBS has finally decided to stop beating the dead horse known as Two and a Half Men. The network announced Wednesday that the show’s 12th season will be its last.

Two and a Half Men was once a jewel in the CBS crown, but all that changed when star Charlie Sheen had his now-famous meltdown and was subsequently fired from the show. The series found a new star in Ashton Kutcher and seemed to recover pretty well, but then Angus T. Jones publicly called the show “filth.” Sure, he apologized later, but he also left the show.

But it wasn’t just the loss of two of its lead actors that has made the show unwatchable recently. The jokes have become awkward and some of the characters’ story lines have become offensive and grating.

Here are three reasons we’re happy to see an end to Two and a Half Men:

No more awkward/vulgar jokes

Don’t believe us about the vulgar jokes? Check out this tender moment between Alan and his balls. Just don’t eat anything before watching it.

This next video isn’t exactly vulgar and it might even be slightly funny, but it definitely wins the award for Most Awkward Wedding, and not in a good way.

Two and a Half Men: 5 ways Jenny can show she’s daddy’s girl >>

No more of Jon Cryer’s voice

Cryer was the lovably adorable Duckie in Pretty in Pink, but sadly he’s not so adorable on this show. His voice can get on some people’s nerves, prompting them to want to punch him.

No more of Amber Tamblyn as a lesbian

Hey, we’re all for ladies loving ladies on TV. But while we love Jenny, we found her story just comes across as offensive, mostly due to her acting. She was supposed to be the female version of Charlie, but we found him kind of offensive, too. Like father, like daughter.
