Miley Cyrus pens emotional essay: “I was Floyd’s mommy

Miley Cyrus may put on a good show, but she recently showed the world her vulnerable side when she penned an emotional open letter to her beloved dog Floyd.

Poor Miley Cyrus. She’s clearly not in a good place right now and is still dealing with a lot of heartbreak following the death of her beloved dog Floyd.

The 21-year-old twerker was dealt an emotional blow when she found out her beloved Alaskan Klee Kai had died while she was on the North American leg of her Bangerz tour in April. The “Wrecking Ball” hit maker took to Twitter at the time of her pet’s death to reveal her heartbreak, telling fans at the time she was suffering emotionally and that it was the “2nd worst day of my life.”

Now, Cyrus took to Twitter on May 17 to write a lengthy tribute to Floyd.

How many times have you laid in bed and cried while the sun is out shining, your loved ones are out laughing, and there are thousands of brilliant books to read… but CHOOSE to lay in bed and indulge yourself in sadness,” she wrote.

The singer then went on to explain it was the death of her beloved pet that had been plaguing her mind.

“I keep asking why would the world take my sweet boy from me? A question an infinite amount of mothers before & after me will ask after losing their precious baby. I am just a baby myself…I depend on my mother still,” Cyrus continued.

“A mother’s greatest responsibility is to keep their baby from anyone hurting them physically or emotionally. I was Floyd’s mommy. I don’t know when the regret and the guilt will fade… I don’t know if it ever will. I feel like I let my boy down,” Cyrus confessed before going on to explain how much she is hurting and how seriously death, love and failure affect her.

This is not the first time the singer has paid tribute to Floyd. She has previously dedicated several performances to him and been accompanied onstage by a massive dog statue. And it appears Cyrus is not ready for a new pet either. Her mother Tish Cyrus recently gave her an adorable new puppy named Moonie, but the former Disney star gave him away weeks later because she claimed it was too soon.
