After spending her childhood and teen years as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series, Watson was understandably a little nervous when starting college.
“On the first day, I walked into the canteen and everyone went completely silent and turned to look at me,” she told the Sunday Times back in March, according to E! News. “I had to say to myself, ‘It’s okay, you can do this. You just have to take a deep breath and gather your courage.'”
But she also admitted that going to college may have been her best attempt at a normal life, until that normal life made her realize who she really is.
“I wanted to pretend I wasn’t as famous as I was. I was trying to seek out normality, but I kind of have to accept who I am, the position I’m in and what happened.”

Watson stayed busy throughout school. During her time at Brown, she filmed the last two Harry Potter films, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, TheBling Ring and Noah, among others. She seemed to love college, but she is looking forward to actually having some time on her hands.
“When I finish my degree, I will have a lot more time to pursue other passions, and I want to figure out what those will be,” she told Wonderland for their February 2014 issue. “I love having something completely unrelated to the film industry. I want to find something that will let me use my brain in another way. I like connecting people who aren’t part of that world, too.”
