50 Cent‘s first pitch at the Mets game was horribly misfired, but the rapper had a good time and reminded everyone it isn’t his day job.
50 Cent was given the honor of throwing out the first pitch at the Tuesday night, May 28, baseball game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the New York Mets at Citi Field. The rapper threw out the pitch, but it went wildly to the left.

The ball ended up not far from the Mets on-deck circle, and almost hit a cameraman standing pretty far from home plate. 50 Cent kept a good attitude after the throw, and he and Mets pitcher Jonathon Niese both had a laugh about it.
Almost immediately, social media began to talk about 50’s throw and wondered how it was even possible. But the rapper replied via Instagram, and explained why he didn’t choose baseball as his profession.
“I’m a hustler not a Damn ball player. LMAO,” he said, along with a video of the game (with some very NSFW language).
He then posted another video with the caption, “The s*** almost hit the camera man damn, if you look close you can see them moving the plate. Lol”
BeatsByDre decided to join in on the fun, posting a photo that was obviously directed at 50 Cent.

Back in February, 50 Cent left Dr. Dre and Eminem’s record label, venturing out on his own, but it’s not clear if the post was in good fun or a slam at the rapper.
“I’m a special case and situation,” 50 Cent said at the time. “It’s also because of the leverage of having the strong relationships with Eminem and Dr. Dre. They don’t want me to be uncomfortable. They value our friendship to the point that they would never want [to jeopardize] it over that little bit of money.”

Tuesday night, 50 Cent stayed on the field with the Mets, in his jersey — number 50, name Jackson on the back — and posed with a bat to take pictures with Mets players, including Curtis Granderson.
The rapper will be back at the stadium to perform a post-game concert on June 14.
