Bottle Boys perform Michael Jackson‘s iconic single “Billie Jean” to perfection by blowing into beer bottles.
Proving the impossible is sometimes possible, a group of five men performed Michael Jackson‘s famous song “Billie Jean” by blowing into beer bottles to make the song’s notes.
The men, who go by the name Bottle Boys, released their bottle cover of Jackson’s hit a few days ago. It was an instant hit on YouTube. On the last Monday of every month, the peculiar music group posts new songs using different types of bottles, and on May 26 they were super pumped to introduce their version of “Billie Jean.”

“We are so excited for this one, because we simply just LOVE Michael Jackson,” the Bottle Boys wrote in the video’s description on YouTube. “‘Billie Jean’ is a really great song and it is perfect for trying out our new technique: double bottle playing. The dentists don’t recommend this, we can assure!”
The group went on to explain why they decided to record the song in a church, saying that this provided them with a “nice reverb.” They added that they used two Neumann KM 184 stereo microphones with Apogee Duet for a deeper effect.

The Bottle Boys got lots of praise for their previous rendition of “Under the Sea” from Disney’s The Little Mermaid, which was also a huge hit. For that performance, the group stood inside a swimming pool and used beer bottles, but without their new technique. The song was still awesome, with a similar flute-like sound heard in their “Billie Jean” rendition.
Growing increasingly popular, the Bottle Boys are now “insanely busy with a lot of concerts,” they said, crediting their big success to their YouTube videos.
