VIDEO: Brad Paisley takes a selfie stand against WBC

He was polite yet he still mocked them. Find out how Brad Paisley handled the Westboro Baptist Church protestors.

It’s definitely a new approach to handling the Westboro Baptist Church protesters and perhaps it worked? On Sunday, Brad Paisley decided to confront the controversial group that was picketing his concert in Kansas City, Missouri. However, he did it pretty peacefully, even though he mocked them later on.

The three-part story on Instagram started with the country singer in the car with a friend. The video was captioned, “An idea!”

Paisley asked his pal, “What do you think…Westboro Baptist selfie?”

His friend responded, “Absolutely.”

The “River Bank” singer said, “Let’s do it.”

The second part is another Instagram video with the protestors behind the 41-year-old musician. Paisley wrote, “Crazies for Paisley!”

In it, he stands in front of the group and poses for a selfie. Some of the members even smile as they hold signs with slogans like “God hates drunks” and “Sin breeds violence.” If they had only done their research, they might have learned the Nashville, Tennessee-based star doesn’t drink.

Finally, Paisley posted the selfie he took. He sported a skeptical face in front of the group that has spawned so many headlines for its questionable beliefs. He made it known he doesn’t support anything they were protesting by captioning the photo, “Westboro Baptist Selfie!! Or west-Burro(a**) selfie. Hopefully they can hear the show out here. We’ll play loud.”

That was probably the best way to get the last word in.
