Their first little athlete is born! Olympian Misty May-Treanor and baseball player Matt Treanor welcome a baby girl.

Olympic beach volleyball player Misty May-Treanor welcomed her first child to the world on Tuesday, June 3, with her husband, Cleveland Indians catcher Matt Treanor. The birth of their daughter Malia was announced on Facebook.
She posted a cute photo of her newborn sleeping in her husband’s arms.
The picture was captioned, “Baby Malia in daddy’s arms. We were so blessed to welcome this little lady in to the world June 3. The staff at the hospital and doctors we can’t thank you enough. Let the adventures begin!!!!!”

The 36-year-old new mom won three gold medals in consecutive Olympics in Athens, Greece, Beijing, China, and London, England, with partner Kerri Walsh Jennings. After the 2012 London games, Misty retired from the sport to start a family with Matt.
The couple announced their pregnancy in February. She told People at the time, “We have been wanting to start our family and we feel blessed to finally have this little miracle happen.”
The former athlete is clearly overjoyed about her new position as a mom. She posted the joys of motherhood on her Twitter page.

Outside of her athletic career, Misty also participated in Season 7 of Dancing With the Stars just after the Beijing, China, games. She was partnered with Maks Chmerkovskiy but had to withdraw from the competition after rupturing her Achilles tendon.
