Power couple Jay Z and Beyoncé were a no-show at Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s recent wedding, but Kris Jenner says the dis was no biggie.

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and Jay Z skipped the lavish wedding of their friends Kim Kardashian and Kanye West in Italy on May 24, but according to everyone’s favorite momager, the Kardashian-Jenner clan couldn’t care less.
“There was so much commotion and excitement, I never really gave that a second thought,” Jenner said on an Australian radio show on Tuesday, via US Weekly. “If you had been there, you would have thought that was the last thing on anyone’s mind… I just assumed they were working,” she told the co-hosts of KIIS 106.5’s morning show.
Jenner may have chalked up the power couple’s no-show to good old-fashioned hard work, but Mr. and Mrs. Carter were actually in the Hamptons celebrating Memorial Day weekend, according to Us Weekly.
There has been a lot of speculation as to why the “Drunk in Love” performers decided to decline their wedding invite, and one rumor points back to the now-infamous elevator smackdown between Jay Z and his sister-in-law Solange Knowles. Word has it that the tussle after the Met Gala was provoked by designer Rachel Roy, who was an invited guest to the Kimye wedding. In an effort to avoid Roy and any more drama, Knowles-Carter and Jay Z decided to skip the nuptials.
However, there were other reports as far back as April claiming that two would not be there to witness the marriage. According to The Sun, Knowles-Carter and Jay Z had made the decision to not go because they felt the event would be too much hoopla and they did not want to appear on camera for Kim’s show Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
Whatever the reason Beyoncé and Jay Z didn’t attend, it doesn’t seem to be keeping Kris Jenner up at night.
