Sherri Shepherd may be getting a divorce from her husband Lamar Sally, but she’s maintained a positive outlook on the whole ordeal and is determined not to beat herself up about it.
Sherri Shepherd has not had a good few months! The The View co-host recently revealed that she and her husband of almost three years Lamar Sally would be ending their marriage, but she doesn’t appear to be living in the past.

“I say you can’t beat yourself up,” the TV personality told Us Weekly at the Samsung Hope for Children Gala in New York City, New York, on Tuesday. “When you know you’ve made the wrong choice in a guy, you look, you do some introspective work, and you try not to make the same mistake,” Shepherd confessed.
“If you do, get back up, dust your feet off, and start walking and moving forward,” she added.
Perhaps the 47-year-old star’s positive outlook is because she has something else to be very happy about in her life right now: She’s going to become a mom for the second time and is expecting her and Sally’s baby via surrogate this summer.

“You have to really sit down and be thankful for the things that you have,” Shepherd told the magazine. “When the dust settles, you figure out what went wrong — but as long as you’re alive and you can breathe, you [can] get up and keep going. For me, my child can’t afford to see Mommy having a nervous breakdown. It’s not in the cards.”
We wish Shepherd all the best with her future and hope she finds happiness elsewhere.
