Pals of Tracy Morgan crash victims beg for removal of video

Louis C.K., Judd Apatow and Dax Shepard all want a gossip website to remove footage of the horrific accident that left Tracy Morgan critically injured and his friend dead.

There’s a fine line between responsible celebrity journalism and exploitation — and today some celebs are saying TMZ has crossed way, way over that line.

The gossip site posted graphic video footage of the aftermath of the horrific crash that left Tracy Morgan and three friends with major injuries and Morgan’s mentor dead, and no one except Harvey Levin’s accountant seems to be very happy about it.

Louis C.K., Judd Apatow and Dax Shepard have all gone on record pleading with TMZ to remove the video, which specifically shows an unconscious Ardie Fuqua being pulled from the wreckage, for the sake of the victims and their families. Farqua’s own daughter posted her own plea on Instagram begging the site to be respectful of such a traumatic moment.

“I need help to get TMZ to remove the video of the accident that shows my dad being pulled from the truck and laid down to the side,” Krizya Fuqua added in a side note. “This something no one should ever see, it’s hurtful and distasteful.”

TMZ has yet to remove the video.

Kevin Roper, the truck driver who allegedly caused the fatal accident, pleaded not guilty to vehicular homicide and assault by auto in a New Jersey court yesterday after denying police statements that he had not slept in 24 hours before the crash.
