Aaron Paul‘s new commercial is inadvertently turning on Xboxes all over the world, and it has Xbox users frustrated with the actor.
Aaron Paul has inadvertently made an enemy of Xbox users everywhere — but only by agreeing to be in the Xbox commercial. The ad features the actor in what is supposed to be his home, playing his Xbox.

Simple enough, right?
But the Breaking Bad star is showing one of the gaming console’s features — the voice recognition sensor — and it’s triggering machines all over the world.
As the commercial starts, Paul says “Xbox, on,” to show how to turn your machine on with only the sound of your voice. But as he says it, gamers who have an Xbox at home are seeing their own Xboxes turn on — triggered by the sound of Paul’s voice.
“Aaron Paul just turned my Xbox One via the Xbox advert. (Which triggered the IR blaster to switch my TV off),” explained one user, according to the BBC.
“@Xbox your new TV advert is annoying the h*** outta me. Aaron Paul keeps turning my console on… #stooooop,” another user wrote.
Although there are plenty of complaints about the commercial, the Xbox users seem more amused than thoroughly upset by the glitch. Users can also turn off the sensor, but it then means they won’t be able to turn on their machines with their own voices.

A spokesman told the BBC that they had no comment. Paul, who is pretty active on social media, hasn’t yet commented on the issue, either, but he did respond to a tweet by Xbox talking about the new commercial.
