2014’s Best songs in commercials

Another year, another new set of commercials. But what’s that super-catchy song playing in the background? Bet we know the answer.

How many times have you found yourself singing along to “that one commercial”? How many times, hours later, have you found yourself still singing that same 30-second snippet? It’s going to be stuck in your head until you can sing the whole song. Perhaps it would help if you knew what the song was.

2013’s Best songs in commercials >>

Fiat GIF Endless Fun
Song: “Biggie Bounce” by Diplo

Still confused by this craziness? Us, too. But, we love the song. So much energy!

Corona Extra
Song: “Drifting Days” by Pocket Submarine

You may not like Corona. You may not love this commercial. But you’re digging this song. Add it to your summer playlist.

Johnny Appleseed Hard Apple Cider
Song: “Jealous (I Ain’t With It)” by Chromeo

We’ve loved Chromeo for a long, long time. Hopefully, this commercial featuring their new radio-friendly track will help land them on a radio near you.

Apple iPhone “Gigantic”
Song: “Gigantic” by Pixies

The minute this commercial appeared, we were hooked. We wanted to dye our hair blond and join a band. And, OK: buy a new iPhone.

Maybe next year we’re hear a little Dan Croll in a commercial >>

2014 Jeep Cherokee “Built Free”
Song: “Motherless Children” by Bob Dylan

This is not a new song by any means. We love that Jeep managed to wrangle Dylan into an agreement for this commercial.

T-Mobile — Samsung Galaxy S5
Song: “I Love You” by Said the Whale

So much love for this song. Still out on whether or not we want to carry around a phone roughly the size of a TV dinner.

ComforPedic iQ
Song: “Young Blood” by The Naked and Famous

www.youtube.com/embed/oz6Lw3TrUyM?feature=player_detailpage
This song has been out for a while now, but we love its place in the ad. Well done, Beautyrest.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Pen
Song: “The Dancer” by Nicolas Repac

www.youtube.com/embed/Y8syBDcjySE?feature=player_embedded
It’s hard not to love this song, which basically just sounds like a bunch of kids all drumming the same beat on their desk. Still… there’s something so perky about it.

Chanel N°5 The One That I Want Commercial
Song: “You’re The One That I Want” by Lo-Fang

www.youtube.com/embed/8asRWe5XNw8?feature=player_embedded
Let’s face it: We already loved this song. Lo-Fang’s sexy remake just makes it infinitely more satisfying. All commercial songs should be this good.

Lexus NX Facet City Commercial
Song: “Dreamin’ About the Future (remix)” by will.i.am

www.youtube.com/embed/cXXPtM1gdbY?feature=player_embedded
Ready to dance? Good luck tracking down this track for your personal collection, though.

Diet Coke Taylor Swift Kittens Commercial
Song: “How You Get the Girl” by Taylor Swift

www.youtube.com/embed/okTokQgOo6I?feature=player_embedded
Of course, if Taylor Swift is going to be in a commercial, it’s going to be soundtracked by her own song.

Did we miss any? Let us know and we’ll be sure to update it throughout the year. We want this list to be even bigger and better than our 2013 version.
