Williams asked if she was single and by single she meant, “not intimate with anybody at this time.”
That was when the American Idol judge dropped the bomb. “Yes, I’ve been single for a couple of months,” the singer said.
The news comes on the heels that the mom-of-two broke up with Smart because he was caught sending text messages to transgender women. In reality, the couple were no longer dating.
For her next boyfriend, JLo isn’t look for a specific type. She claims she is looking for something deeper.

She shared, “I don’t look at the outside so much. I’m not an outside-cover person, I am more of, like, an essence person.”
Don’t worry about the “I Luh Ya Papi” singer, though. Lopez is handling the breakup with aplomb by promoting her new album, A.K.A. When she’s looking for a little help, she just turns to the Bible to get her through.
“I’m a big soul searcher, and I read a lot of self-help books,” she said. “I am always kinda searching for answers. I’ll randomly just open a Bible looking for answers and guidance.”
JLo seems to be doing just fine without a man in her life.
