George Clooney’s best man will be Brad Pitt, aunt claims

The world can’t wait for George Clooney to marry his lawyer love Amal Alamuddin. But who will serve as his best man? His aunt thinks Brad Pitt makes a fine candidate.

If George Clooney’s engagement bash to Amal Alamuddin is anything to go by, then his wedding is set to be a star-studded affair. And everyone is wondering who the Monuments Men star’s best man will be on his big day.

Well, according to Clooney’s aunt Staria — who is married to the actor’s paternal uncle Joe Clooney — it’s not going to be his BFF Rande Gerber but rather Hollywood A-lister Brad Pitt.

“I would say he’d choose Brad Pitt for his best man,” Staria told the Daily Mail. “They are good friends, I would think that’s who he’d choose.”

There is also much speculation as to where Clooney and his lawyer lady will tie the knot, with many speculating that Italy will be the destination because the actor has a home in Lake Como — a home that was recently invaded by a wine thief.

“I do know that Nick and Nina [George’s parents] are planning a trip over to Italy in the next week or so to, I guess, scope out some stuff,” Aunt Staria revealed about the potential wedding destination.

Clooney popped the question to Alamuddin back in April, and it certainly looks like he’s found “the one” this time around.

“This is the healthiest relationship I’ve ever seen George in … he seems incredibly happy,” a source previously revealed to Us Weekly.
