Dakota Johnson’s dad won’t watch her in Fifty Shades of Grey

Dakota Johnson‘s career got a massive career boost when she took on a role in Fifty Shades of Grey, but her dad actor Don Johnson won’t be watching the film.

Dakota Johnson is all set to star in one of the most anticipated movies, Fifty Shades of Grey. However, taking on the female lead role of Anastasia Steele in the upcoming film adaptation of E L James’ erotic best-selling book was a risky decision, but it is one the young actress’ father Don Johnson supports.

The 64-year-old actor is promoting his latest film Cold, but he was happy to shed some light on his daughter’s latest role with Good Morning Britain, Us Weekly reports.

“This is the family business,” the Miami Vice star said. “This is what we do, and I am absolutely certain that Dakota will take a piece of material and a character which a lot of people might imagine could be inappropriate in some ways and turn it into something spectacular.”

“Speaking like a proud father and a seasoned professional, I can tell you that she is a gifted, gifted actress, and this will just be one part in a long line of tremendous performances in her career,” Johnson gushed about his daughter.

However, just because Johnson is supportive of his daughter does not mean he will be watching her on-screen performance on Valentine’s Day next year — which is sure to include many raunchy S&M sex scenes.

“I probably will not see it just because it’s not a movie I would see,” the actor reportedly revealed to TheTelegraph. “… It’s in a category of films that I just wouldn’t be interested in.”
