The gorgeous Blake Lively says her hair is her safety net and reveals her secret to keeping it so luscious.
Despite a successful acting career and a super-hot husband, Blake Lively still has insecurities she fights by keeping her beautiful hair long and flowing.

“Honestly I am a shy person,” Lively said in an interview with Hello! magazine via Us Weekly. “My hair is a safety net for me, so I love to have it down and full and relaxed. Often you see people on the red carpet with tight up-dos, but that makes me feel stiff,” the former Gossip Girl star continued. If our hair looked that good, we’d probably use it as a security blanket, too.
The starlet also revealed in the interview some of her secrets for keeping her locks so fab: She’s hopped aboard the coconut oil trend. She says she dabs the natural oil on her ends before shampooing. She also applies Kerastase Reflection Chroma Captive Hair Masque and rolls her wet hair in a ballerina bun to let it dry. While we’re sure that Lively probably has a little more help than that to achieve most of her looks, it’s refreshing to think such a glam girl is so low maintenance.
Lively’s hair is just one facet of her style evolution. She has proven to be every designer’s dream and undoubtedly has a closet collection that would make any woman green with envy.
Though the Hick star apparently has a very no-fuss approach to hair care and has stated in the past that she doesn’t go to the gym nor does she have a workout routine, she openly admits that those philosophies do not apply to clothing.
“I liken myself to a little girl having a tea party at the house all of the time,” Lively said to Hello!. The actress is “not happy wearing sweats because I love dressing up so much,” she said. “I actually dress up more in my home than I do walking down the street just because it is so much fun to play dress up,” she said.
