Jessica Simpson is gorgeous in the first wedding photo released from her nuptials with longtime partner Eric Johnson.

Simpson wore a custom Carolina Herrera gown for the ceremony. And though the picture, exclusively released by PEOPLE, only shows the top part of the dress, it’s clear it’s got lots of glitz and sparkle. Plus, it appears the dress is a nude or tan shade, instead of the traditional white. This doesn’t come as a surprise since, as we reported earlier back in May, Simpson was planning on making a lot of specific departures for her second marriage to NFL player Johnson.
Simpson’s hairstylist Roque Jimenez described the wedding day look as, “sexy, easy and ethereal,” according to PEOPLE. He continued, “Nothing too contrived.”

“It was a labor of love,” Chavez told PEOPLE of the wedding day look.
According to reports of the couple’s big day, the entire event followed suit. Sources told E! News that Simpson’s father, Joe Simpson, officiated the ceremony. When the groom began to recite his vows, he choked up and had to restart the words. E! News also reports that the bride was nervous enough that she stumbled over her vows. Instead of saying Johnson’s name, she said her own instead. After a good laugh, the ceremony proceeded and the bride started again.
Following the wedding, Simpson and Johnson released a statement to PEOPLE saying, “To say ‘I do’ in front of family, friends and, most importantly, our children has been the happiest moment of our lives.”
