And although the wedding ceremony is said to have been a gorgeous affair, officiated by the blond beauty’s father, Joe Simpson, it did experience a slight glitch when the couple made a mess of their vows.
Overcome with emotion, the “These Boots Are Made for Walkin'” hit maker nervously exchanged vows in front of 250 friends and family members, including sister Ashlee Simpson and her fiancé Evan Ross; Topher Grace; and Jessica Alba and her hubby, Cash Warren, at the swanky San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, California.
Among the sea of guests were Tim Rattay, Ken Paves (the bride’s hairstylist) and Cacee Cobb.

According to E! News, the football player was the first to mess up his vows as he stood facing his beautiful bride — who wore a custom Carolina Herrera gown — and then it was the bride’s turn to flub her vows as she was overcome with nervousness and said her own name instead of addressing the groom, which forced her to giggle and then start all over again.
However, the couple remained in good spirits and laughed about their nervousness, adding a touch of humor to the day and ensuring that their nuptials remained the happiest moment of their lives — and, most probably, one of the most expensive. According to E! News, the couple’s wedding ceremony cost them a whopping $1.4 million (approximately) from start to finish.

“We are overwhelmed with complete happiness and love having made our eternal commitment. To say ‘I do’ in front of family, friends and, most importantly, our children has been the happiest moment of our lives.” The couple revealed to People in a statement.
Congratulations to the happy couple! We’re so glad that their wedding was everything that they had dreamed it would be.
And while fans are thrilled to have had the opportunity to see pictures of the bride in her dress, New York Daily NewsConfidential claims that People magazine forked out a whopping $300,000 for exclusive rights to Simpson and her beau’s photos.
“There was no bidding war,” says an insider. However, the mag was allegedly worried about Instagram pics leaking and told the guests that there was to be “no cell phones, no photographs.”
“They didn’t want any photos to come out before they run Wednesday,” the publication states.
