Halle Berry: We aren’t the only species in existence

Halle Berry has recently revealed something we may not have known about her before. She believes in extraterrestrial life and hopes one day humans will finally be able to meet those living out there in the great unknown.

During an appearance on the Late Show With David Letterman on Monday, the beauty told the show’s host, “I don’t believe we are the only species in existence. My ego doesn’t tell me that we’re the only ones who survived… it might take us 20 years to get to those other life-forms, but I think they are out there.”

Berry has been getting into exploring other galaxies because she’s set to star as a pregnant astronaut — although viewers will have to wait at least 12 episodes to find out how her character became pregnant — in her new TV series CBS sci-fi drama Extant.

She has even taken part in a zero-gravity flight, although it was not the most enjoyable experience.

“I did well until the 15th time [we dived down]. When you’re diving down, that’s when you’re experiencing zero-G,” the Oscar-winning actress revealed.

“It’s a really delightful sensation; everyone cracks up laughing. To be upside down and not have a head rush is probably an experience you’ve never had before … You’re just flying.”

Extant premieres this Wednesday at 9/8c on CBS. (And perhaps believing in aliens is a clever promotional strategy.)
