DWTS pro Cheryl Burke is skinny-shamed on Facebook

Cheryl Burke is tired of fans criticizing her body. When she had put on a couple of pounds a few years ago, she was fat-shamed. Now that she’s lost a bit of weight, some of her critics are now skinny-shaming her.

TheDancing With the Stars pro posted a photo to her Facebook page on Monday that started the whole discussion. She’s currently on vacation in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and has shared a selfie with her sporting a hat, sunglasses, colorful bikini top and a glowing tan.

That’s when the comments started flooding in about her weight to her full lips. Some people were downright mean.

One fan wrote, “you getting to thin.”

Another poster chimed in with, “WOW what did you do to your lips???? Thought you looked good before.”

There was also this backhanded insult, “I liked you better in your pre-Paris Hilton days.”

The dancer did have her supporters who wrote on her wall to give her some love.

A DWTS viewer said, “Geeesh, ya can’t win Cheryl, 1st OMG you’re too fat, then OMG you’re too thin, Cheryl you are gorgeous and we love you as you are period!!”

Another fan agreed, “Cheryl! Own it girlfriend! You ROCK! Don’t listen to anyone except yourself! Everyone has an opinion!”

Burke took the comments in stride and respectfully answered a few of the derogatory statements.

She shared that she hadn’t done anything to her lips, she said she was “just pouting.”

As for being too thin, the ABC star replied, “I’m sure there are a lot of photos where everyone doesn’t look like themselves, it’s a weird angle.”

TMZ spoke with the fit dancer who admitted she had been taking care of herself and stopped drinking. Burke is living a clean life and her body is a result of that.

For all of the naysayers, she summed up, “I didn’t have plastic surgery and I don’t have an eating disorder. I’m just actually happy.”
