It has been a drama-filled season for Bravo‘s reality show Ladies of London, and it’s coming to a close. With the Season 1 finale airing next Monday, we sat down with star Caprice Bourret to get the scoop on the show and what’s next.

As for the drama, Bourret says it’s all real. In fact, it was something she really considered going into the show.
“I thought, ‘OK, if I’m going to do this, I’m going to do this with the best, and Bravo is the best.’ But, you know, it’s still scary. They [Bravo] do have full control over everything. And you know you’re vulnerable. Especially at that time I was in my last trimester of pregnancy. Talk about hormone mania,” Bourret admitted.
“And then to deal with sort of all the ridiculous sort of petty drama,” she continued. “It was pretty tough. It was pretty tough.”
And things haven’t necessarily improved now that the show has wrapped. “There’s even more drama now than there was on the TV show. It doesn’t stop,” Bourret said.

There may be fun mixed in with all the drama, but Bourret indicated the finale is far from happy-go-lucky pleasantries. “The finale is a little bit of a shocker. Let me just tell you, people’s true colors come out in the end. That’s for darn sure.”
“It was like an educational thing for me,” Bourret added. “Story lines were even a surprise to me. Let’s just put it that way.”
In the midst of all the drama, Bourret is now a mother to two young boys and has her own fashion line, By Caprice, which is being sold on Asos.com.

“I am busy, busy all the time!” Bourret gushed.
“People will tell you left right and center that it’s [motherhood] going to change your life, and you’re going to love your children more than you could ever imagine. But in actuality you can’t imagine the love and how much it impacts your life. You know, words cannot describe the joy and the happiness and just the unconditional kind of love.”
“You know what though, you have to have the right partner,” Bourret said, referencing her partner Ty Comfort. “It’s huge. You don’t want to do this on your own. That’s partly why I waited so long. I really wanted to be responsible because when you bring in children it’s a huge responsibility, and it makes a difference when you have that partner helping you.”
The once career-focused former model now has a different outlook on life. “My priorities have completely altered. My work was my baby. My work was my child. I started it [her business By Caprice] from nothing. I started it with my own money. I don’t have any equity partners. You know, it was my life and soul. And now, it takes a beyond the back burner compared to my children. My whole life I breathe, literally, for my children.”
Experiencing pregnancy has also inspired a different approach in her work, too. “When I was pregnant, I mean, there was nothing available to me. I still wanted to look good. I still wanted to feel a little bit sexy. And there was nothing out there, some fashionable bras that were really functional to me. So this is what I’m targeting now,” Bourret told us.
She’s also working on a beachwear line and, long-term, targeting maternity wear.
See the Season 1 finale of Ladies of London on Monday, July 21, at 10/9c on Bravo.
