Jenny McCarthy’s keeping her wedding small, with no celebs

Fans may have temporarily forgotten that Jenny McCarthy has a wedding with Donnie Wahlberg coming up in the near future since she’s been making headlines for her exit from The View. However, during a recent interview with Howard Stern, the blond beauty was happy to discuss her upcoming nuptials.

The Dirty Love star revealed there will be no celebrities in the crowd and that the ceremony will take place within the “next couple months” with around “80 guests” in attendance.

So, can we expect to see Donnie’s brother Mark Wahlberg as his best man on his big day?

“No,” McCarthy told Stern. “Let’s just say our children are very much a part of this wedding,” she elaborated.

And while the star claimed there would be no famous faces at her nuptials, she’s making an exception for her former The View co-host Sherri Shepherd.

“Sherri Shepherd will be the only one [celebrity invited] possibly if she can make it,” McCarthy said.

So how does McCarthy feel about no longer being a part of the hit talk show The View?

“The most rewarding [part of being on The View] has definitely been working with Barbara Walters for a year, I mean work[ing] under her and just… asking her questions backstage has been the most intriguing thing,” she confessed to Stern.

McCarthy went on to confess that she wasn’t able to be herself on the panel, though.

“I’ll tell you something Howard, it’s like halfway into it, it was probably around February, I went, ‘God I’m not allowed to be the best of me here,’ I feel like to have a voice, to be able to speak without having to interrupt people…It’s very difficult, and I don’t like doing it, it’s very uncomfortable, so I felt like, ‘You know what? Maybe this is just a stepping-stone for me to go somewhere where I can actually be my full self.'”

McCarthy also addressed the question everyone is asking: Was she fired? “Yes and no,” McCarthy replied. “If I wanted to stay with Rosie [O’Donnell] and I was a Republican, I would still be there right now.”
