Nick Carter and Jordan Knight merge worlds with new song

It’s no Watch the Throne, but it’s surely a new boy band made in heaven. Earlier this week, Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys and Jordan Knight of New Kids on the Block melded our teenage dreams and formed a holy super duo called Nick and Jordan.

Likely concocted during BSB and NKOTB‘s joint tour, which took place May 2011 through June 2012, the idea of these teen-turned-adult heartthrobs has flourished with new music and performance plans ahead. Not only have they dropped their first collective single “One More Time,” but they have an entire album full of duets appropriately titled Nick and Jordan set for release on Sept. 2. Let that sink in for a moment or two.

“One More Time” is an uptempo cut reminiscent of both of the pop singers’ catalogs with each of their respective bands. Throw in some tender harmonization, woo-hoos and a sing-along hook about being irreplaceable, and it’s everything we could want from a ’90s super-duo duet.
Fans won’t just be able to catch the duo on the radio either. N and J will take their material on the road for the Nick & Knight Tour, which will begin just a couple of weeks after the LP drops. The North American trek is set to stop in major cities, including Boston, Massachusetts, Chicago, Illinois, and Las Vegas, Nevada.

During an interview with Ryan Seacrest, Knight said their new single will help fans imagine what they have in store for the stage. “You can really hear the chemistry and you can almost visualize us onstage performing,” he explained. “I think it will do well for fans’ imaginations and what they’re going to look forward to when they come on our tour.”
