It may have taken Ryan Reynolds a failed marriage before he could finally get it right, but he and Blake Lively appear to be happier than ever and their relationship is still going strong after two years.
The loved-up pair married in secret at Boone Hall Plantation in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, in 2012 but it’s not often that the Gossip Girl alum opens up about her marriage. However, in the August 2014 issue of Vogue magazine, Lively decided to share some deets on what a beautiful man her husband is.

“He’s a part of it because everything we do in life we do together,” Lively told the magazine about her relationship with Reynolds. “If I’m working on a movie, he helps me with my character; I do the same with him. Picking out a coffee table. What we’re going to eat. He’s a beautiful writer — he’s written a lot of stuff for us. And he’s got a great barometer and he knows me, so he will tell me if it’s not as good as it can be.”
So, after two years, does the couple intend to expand their little family? Well, if Lively’s recent comments are anything to go by, we may be seeing her sporting a baby bump sooner than expected.

“He’s going to be a great father and leader and patriarch — he’s so meant to be all of those things,” she said of Reynolds. “The fact that he lived so much before we got together, he’s the exact realized person that he should be. And so I get to share my life with the person he’s become, and we get to grow from there.”
Lively is loving married life, which is evident in her comments about her husband, but her wedding was almost not the wonderful fairytale experience that she had dreamed of. However, luckily for the blond beauty, she had Martha Stewart to come to her rescue.
“Our wedding was becoming a disaster, and we didn’t know what to do, so we called Martha! She said, ‘Don’t worry. I’ll handle it,'” Lively recalled to Vogue. “She sent her team down to save us. And then she called her friends who have a home in South Carolina and set us up at the most amazing getaway. This is the day of our wedding!”
