Alec Baldwin appears in court, is scolded by judge

A criminal courtroom in Manhattan was full of Hollywood on Thursday when both Shia LaBeouf and Alec Baldwin were set to make appearances.

Baldwin was scheduled to appear in relation to his arrest back in May where he was allegedly riding his bicycle the wrong way down a one-way street. According to the officers, Baldwin became belligerent after he was stopped, and eventually he was charged with disorderly conduct.

“Looks like you have a short fuse,” Manhattan Criminal Court Judge John DeLury told Baldwin.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Baldwin repeatedly said he would pay the fine, but the judge said he was asking for an apology. In the end, Judge DeLury said the charges would be dismissed if Baldwin is not arrested in the next six months.

“Can you stay out of trouble, Alexander?” DeLury asked.

“Sure, sure,” Baldwin said.

“Be a good boy from now on,” the judge answered. “Have a good day!”

Coincidentally, Baldwin and LaBeouf were supposed to work on the Broadway show Orphans, with LaBeouf pulling out at the last moment. A sort of Twitter feud ensued, but it doesn’t appear the two actors saw each other in court.

Baldwin’s arrest came after the actor denounced New York City back in February, explaining the amount of tabloid coverage of him and his family made it not a place worth living.

“Predatory photographers and predatory videographers who want to taunt you and catch you doing embarrassing things,” he wrote in his letter. “You’re out there in a world where if you do make a mistake, it echoes in a digital canyon forever.”

Although he said he would likely move away, he has yet to leave the city for good.
