Surprise! Christopher Nolan wants fans to get very excited about his latest film Interstellar, and he’s doing that with the release of a new trailer.
The British director brought a new trailer of the forthcoming sci-fi space adventure to Comic-Con during Paramount’s Hall H presentation. Fans were thrilled to see the famed director and star of the film Matthew McConaughey at Comic-Con for the first time.

“Thank you for having us,” Nolan said, according to The Guardian. “This has been the backbone of all the extraordinary success we have had, so thank you.
“We thought it’d be a fun thing to come and see what all the fuss is about,” said Nolan, who was greeted by a standing ovation.
Although he gave little away about the film’s details, Nolan did tease fans with a brand-new trailer, one that he said general audiences won’t be seeing for quite some time.
According to The Guardian, the trailer begins on Earth and shows how mankind is searching for salvation in space. It’s then that the trailer gets really interesting, with the wormhole the astronauts travel through taking them to an ice planet that could potentially solve humanity’s problems. Basically, the trailer does a good job of convincing fans that they want to see this film, badly.

The star-studded cast includes Oscar winners Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway as the lead characters, as well as favorites Michael Caine, Casey Affleck, Jessica Chastain and Topher Grace.
Interstellar will be released on Nov. 7, so if you missed the trailer at Comic-Con you’ll have to wait until then — unless you’re lucky and the footage gets leaked.
