Keeping romance alive in Hollywood can be complicated, especially when it’s two very successful actors who are in hot demand, like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
However, while their work schedules take them across the globe, Jolie and Pitt’s love still remains strong, and perhaps their secret to a happy relationship is writing old-fashioned handwritten love notes to one another.

The 39-year-old beauty revealed to Australia’s TV Week magazine that during the filming of her movie adaptation of Laura Hillenbrand’s best-selling book, Unbroken, in Australia, and her beau’s shooting of Fury, in England, they exchanged sweet notes.
“He was supporting from a distance,” Jolie confessed. “It was quite romantic in a way.
“We decided to be of that time when we could imagine he was in the European theater and I was in the Pacific theater,” she revealed. “We wrote handwritten letters to each other that were very connecting for us, thinking of the people that were separated for months if not years at a time back then.”

But it was not just her romance with her fiancé that was on Jolie’s mind during her interview; she also revealed what a tough time she went through after her friend and mentor, the late Olympian and World War II POW, Louis Zamperini, died.
“I brought him the film on my laptop in the hospital,” she told the mag. “It was amazing seeing someone at the end of their life watching their life unfold again, at the same time their body was shutting down.”
