If you just can’t get enough of stories about plastic surgery nightmares, have we got some good news for you. E! has just announced that they are renewing Botched for Season 2.
When the show first premiered, it sounded like a simple premise: Take people who had their lives ruined by plastic surgery and fix the mistakes their past doctors had made. The series quickly became much more than that when it revealed the lengths that some people will go to in order to achieve what they perceive as perfection.

The show’s “stars” are Dr. Terry Dubrow and Dr. Paul Nassif, who aren’t willing to risk their patients’ lives no matter how much money they are offered. The doctors break the common stereotype of plastic surgeons that are only interested in cash and will do whatever their patients ask of them, even when those requests turn the patients into frightening monsters.
If you haven’t seen the doctors dealing with a man who refers to himself as the “Human Ken Doll,” then you’re missing out. Justin Jedlica is so obsessed with looking like a doll that he’s been seen on shows like TLC’s My Strange Addiction as a “living doll.” In fact, a quick visit to his website shows that he is now offering himself up as a plastic surgery consultant for those who want his advice before they get procedures.

Anyone looking into Justin’s services might want to check out his appearance on Botched first. After 132 procedures, he sought out the doctors’ help to give him leg muscle implants. Rather than work out to get the body he desires, Justin just has implants inserted and has even designed many of his implants himself. Even more frightening, he has started to stay awake during his surgeries so as to give the surgeon instructions on how he’d like things done. The doctors refused to treat Justin, because the poor guy obviously needs a completely different kind of help.

It’s moments like that one, plus the countless people that the doctors helped who had actual problems with previous plastic surgeries, that have made Botched one of those shows that you just can’t help but watch.
