Hillary Clinton made an appearance on The Colbert Report Tuesday night, and surprised everyone — including Stephen Colbert. Colbert and Clinton began talking about the former Secretary of State’s new memoir, but it turned into a Who’s Who of name-dropping.

It was all started by Colbert, who pointed out the amount of name-dropping by Clinton in the book.
“This book is 656 pages of shameless name-dropping,” he said, before Clinton came out on set. “I just don’t buy any of this. There is no way on earth one woman can be in so many places at once.”
Colbert said “Hillary Clinton” as she walked out, according to the New York Times, and Clinton promptly replied with, “Now who’s a name-dropper, Stephen?”
What followed was a battle of name-dropping, with both Clinton and Colbert naming all of the celebs they know, including plenty of A-listers from Hollywood.
“Oh really? Name-dropper?” Colbert said. “That’s not what my good friend Tom Hanks calls me when we’re hanging out at George Clooney’s place.”
“I love George,” the grandma-to-be replied. “I wish he could have joined us when I had lunch with Meryl Streep and Ecuadorean President Rafael Correa.”
“Oh Rafi, he is such a cutup,” Colbert said. “Especially when we go camping with Oprah.”
“O,” Clinton said.
“Oh, does that surprise you?” Colbert asked.
“No, O is just what all her real friends call Oprah.”

Colbert wrapped up the name battle by mentioning one very famous former president.
“I once did an entire show with President Bill Clinton,” Colbert said as the battle came to an end.
“I hate to break this to you, Stephen, but I’ve met him, too,” Clinton replied.
Hillary Clinton continues to tour over the summer to promote her new memoir Hard Choices, but has not yet said officially whether she will consider running for President of the United States in 2016.
