Charlize Theron is teaching the world this week not to mess with her. It looks like Mama Bear has come out, and a judge who leaked the news of Theron’s adoption of her now 2-year-old son is now without a career.

According to Yahoo, Arkansas Circuit Court Judge Michael A. Maggio reportedly released confidential information about Theron’s 2012 adoption and has now been banned for life from the bench. Maggio was apparently not even the judge in Theron’s case, but he worked in the same district.
The information Maggio released was personal, including Theron’s son’s skin color, and she was not happy. He released the info on a fan forum for Louisiana State University sports called tigerdroppings.com. Maggio used the username “geauxjudge” and talked about Theron’s adoption in a pretty indecent way.
“I don’t know if [this is the] right board but I have a friend who is the judge that did her adoption today. It was a single parent adoption. I offered to be the baby daddy,” he said.
Theron, who most recently starred in Seth MacFarlane’s A Million Ways to Die in the West, has yet to comment on Maggio’s case but did talk about her son at a recent press junket. She said, “I want to do everything in the world to protect this innocent little boy. [He’s], you know, going to have an awesome mom, but she has a sucky job that everyone wants to know about.”

Theron’s adoption was only one of several adoption cases that Maggio commented on, and the Judicial Discipline & Disability Commission reportedly issued six public sanctions against him, which led to the ban.
“It is with mixed emotions that I was faced with the decision of today,” Maggio said in a prepared statement. “I am no quitter but I have always done my utmost best to attain and promote the highest ideals of the justice system. I accepted responsibility and apologized for the statements under an assumed pseudonym in a private sports blog that were attributed to me.”
