Ice, ice baby. It looks like even the stars are willing to get wet for a good cause.

Anyone with an account on any social media platform is probably aware of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge by now — post a video of yourself being doused with a bucket of ice water, or donate $100 to the ALS Foundation, which works to raise awareness for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, otherwise known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Those who complete the challenge get to nominate others to do the same. That’s exactly what happened to Justin Timberlake, who MTV News reports was nominated by Patrick Downes and Jessica Kensky, a married couple who were both injured in the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings.
A video posted to the pop star’s Facebook page on Monday shows he stepped up to the challenge along with his entire backup band, The Tennessee Kids.
“We did both…and then we donated a bunch more,” JT wrote. “It’s such a good cause.”
The “Mirrors” singer is no stranger to charity; he has a long history of visiting sick fans and donating money to his favorite organizations.

JT passed the challenge on to Jimmy Fallon, Steve Higgins and The Roots from TheTonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
“You’ve got 24 hours to donate AT LEAST $100 or douse yourself with ice … Or both,” he wrote in his post.
The Roots were the first to accept the challenge well within the 24 hours that JT gave them.

“Hey Timberlake $&€%¥+%%!!!! @justintimberlake @jtimberlake #ALSIceBucketChallenge,” wrote Quest in the caption of his photo of an emptied orange bucket emblazoned with the words “Let’s Do This.”
Questlove hasn’t passed on the challenge yet, and there’s no word on whether Fallon and Higgins have taken their ice baths.
