The names released by the cable network were not much of a surprise, since several sources leaked the possible cast on the internet back in April. It was rumored that Chris Brown’s on-again, off-again girlfriend Karrueche Tran was going to join that cast, but that never came to fruition.

The series has been a hit for VH1. It has even spawned a soundtrack that drops on Aug. 19, with songs heard on the show. VH1 Love & Hip Hop: Music from the Series will feature songs from Common, Trey Songz and Anthony Hamiliton.
